The Bowman family established the original Arrowfield in 1842 at Jerry's Plains and it rose to prominence as a thoroughbred stud farm in the early 1900's under the Moses brothers.
The modern era of Arrowfield began in the mid 1980s under John Messara. In 1989 Arrowfield selected and purchased a majority interest in Danehill, a stallion that proved to be a breed shaping influence in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. Arrowfield's success continues today with a world-class stallion roster headed by sire sensation Redoute's Choice.
