There are a number of convenient ways to get to Royal Randwick & Warwick Farm on a Race Day.

Traveling by Public Transport
Buses
Travelling to Royal Randwick:
Buses to Royal Randwick Racecourse depart Central Station from Eddy Avenue.
Bus Routes to Alison Road include: 372, 374, 339 and 376.
Travelling from Royal Randwick to Central:
Buses from Royal Randwick to Central Station depart from Alison Road Randwick (near Darley Street).
Pedestrian Access
Pedestrians may enter the racecourse via Gate 1 (Alison Road, Main Drive), the new Gate 5 (Alison Road/Darley Street, Entrance Plaza) this replaces Gate 6 (Alison Road, 2000mtr Mark) which is now closed, Gate 19 (Carlton Street off Doncaster Ave) and Bowral Lane. Pedestrians are NOT to be allowed entry through any other gate. (Last updated Nov 2009)
Taxis & Hire Cars - Enter via Ascot Street
Taxis and Hire Cars enter Randwick Racecours via Ascot Street. The set down and pick up point is at the turnstiles located at the taxi rank.
Taxis and hire cars are not permitted to stop on Alison Road.
Valet Parking - Autumn Carnival
Valet Parking is available during Royal Randwick Autumn and Spring Carnivals. Please see below details for valet parking during Royal Randwick Autumn Carnival 2010.
As an added service to our Members, Sponsors and Patrons, Royal Randwick will be offering a Valet Parking Service for an easy and convenient way of arrival and departure from the Racecourse.
To access Valet Parking, you will need to enter via Ascot Street. Turn left into Ascot St off Doncaster Ave and then follow Valet Parking signs to the vehicle drop off point.
The Valet Parking Fee is $30 (inc. GST) per vehicle payable by cash or EFTPOS upon drop off of your vehicle.

Car Parking
Car parking is complimentary and available at the infield car park, entry off High Street. (Across the road from University of New South Wales).
The Leger car park is closed. All Members’ general parking is accessed via High Street.
Parking is limited and minor delays are expected upon exiting the car park during carnival days.
Limousines
Limousines enter Randwick Racecourse via the High street tunnel. Set down, pick up and parking is available in the same location.
Private Coaches (Over 3.4M High)
Patrons who organise their own coaches to transport them to and from Royal Randwick must use the designated set-down and pick-up area located along the southern side of Alison Road between Wansey Road and Cowper Street (see map for details).
Private coaches are permitted to park within this designated area for the duration of the race day.
Private coaches will not be permitted access into the Busway or the main driveway / Gate 1 to drop-off and pick-up passengers.
Mini-Buses (Under 3.4M High)
Patrons organising mini-buses to transport them to and from Royal Randwick are to use the infield carpark for all set-downs, pick-ups and parking.
Mini-buses over 3.4m high are to use the private coach designated area.
Parking - NSW Racehorse Owners Association
The Australian Jockey Club Limited has made provision for 50 car parking spaces in the infield car park (access via High Street) next to the main turnstiles. Please have your permit on display at all times.
Helicopter
If you are intending to come to the race course via helicopter, please contact our Security & Risk Manager Shane Brady on 02 9663 8500 to receive landing instructions.
Please note: a landing fee will apply on non-Race Days.
Member's Parking
Due to the commencement of the master plan at Royal Randwick, there have been some changes to Members parking for 2008/09.
From Leger to Infield
Unfortunately there will be NO parking available on the Leger whilst the master plan works unfold to improve the amenity for all. All Members parking for those who pay the basic fee is now located in a prominent location in the in field, close to the entrance to the pedestrian tunnel. Car park entry is via High Street.
Members Private Reserve
Members who purchased Private Reserve Parking on the Lawn Reserve have access to their parking via Abbotford Street off Doncaster Avenue. These spaces are no longer numbered and attendants will direct you to the best available space.
Disabled Parking
All disabled parking is available on the infield. A buggy service will operate through the tunnel to bring you from the parking area to the turnstiles and back.
Some Helpful Tips
- Leave your car at home - public transport is the way to go.
- Plan your trip with www.131500.com.au. This site will also inform you of any timetable alterations and trackwork changes.
- If you are driving, remember the best way to avoid delays and get into the ground on time is to arrive early.
- Special Event Clearways will be in place in the surrounding precinct - check the RTA website for details: www.rta.nsw.gov.au
- Updated traffic conditions are also available through the RTA Traffic Line on 131700.
